Adult Dialectical Behavior Therapy Group
Dialectical Behavior Therapy was created by Masha Linnehan for those struggling with self-harm and suicidal ideation. It is also useful for those struggling with impulsive or out of control behavior, such as uncontrollable emotional outbursts, eating disorders, unstable interpersonal relationships, and other compulsive behavior. DBT is taught in four modules: mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotion regulation, and interpersonal effectiveness.
If you have a history of suicide attempts, you will be required to be individual therapy with myself or another therapist. This is just to ensure your safety and the appropriate level of care to meet your needs.
