About Anjuli
Hi, I’m Anjuli!
I help people navigating anxiety, grief, trauma, and difficult family dynamics to go from feeling isolated, misunderstood, and alone to feeling connected, seen, and understood.
I do my best work with people of all ages navigating grief, trauma, anxiety, and adjustments to new experiences or transitions. Often my clients have experienced difficult early life experiences in their families, which makes current day relationships fraught with challenges. I help people who survived difficult life experiences develop connection and self-acceptance in an open space free of judgement. Others are adjusting to new things in life that may be bringing up anxiety and self-doubt. I help those going through adjustments in life to feel calmer and more confident going forward.
I have a Bachelor’s of Arts in Psychology and English from the University of Miami. I am currently completing my Master’s in Human Development Counseling on the Clinical Mental Health track at Vanderbilt University. I am working under the direct supervision of Katherine Friend, LPC-MHSP and Natalie LeQuang, LPC-MHSP.
My background working with adolescents and young adults in the community has prepared me to work with individuals experiencing major life adjustments, perfectionism, anxiety, and self-exploration. I approach this work by providing an affirming environment to build clients’ strengths and process together. It is this approach that I will bring into the counseling room.
I am excited to work with anyone interested in making the brave decision to seek therapy. I believe in leading with compassion and utilizing a collaborative approach to therapy in which we work together to attain your goals, process, and heal. I am most interested in providing trauma-informed care to adolescents and young adults, with a special interest in serving those with marginalized identities. I have witnessed the profound impact of connection myself, which is what influenced me to pursue this path and create a therapeutic space with safety and trust.
My approach is relational and attachment-focused, meaning I believe that your early relationships greatly impact how you approach relationships today. Building insight into relational dynamics and figuring out your relational needs is central to my approach. I also incorporate body-oriented therapies and parts work into treatment as needed. This approach allows you to feel more self-understanding, self-compassion, and deeper connection in relationships.
In my free time, I enjoy spending time in my kitchen recreating family recipes or trying out new ones. I also love immersing myself in nature through hikes, picnics, or walks in my neighborhood.
